Below is a 6 day / 5 night sample itinerary to give you a general idea of our Winter Wellness & Auroras trip starting from Keflavik:
Day 1 - Arrival & Borgarfjordur
Arrival at KEF airport where you pick up your rental car. Start your trip by visiting the beautiful Borgarfjordur region: Grabrok crater, Deildartunguhver hot spring, Hraunfossar lava field waterfalls, and the picturesque Husafell area.

Day 2 - Golden Circle
Explore the famous Thingvellir national park, the Geysir geothermal area & Strokkur geyser, and the Gullfoss waterfall. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the Laugarvatn Fontana geothermal baths.
Overnight for two nights in the South.

Day 3 - South Coast
Travel in the region of the infamous volcanoes of Hekla, Eyjafjallajokull & Katla and visit the Seljalandsfoss & Skogafoss waterfalls, Reynisfjara black sand beach, and Dyrholaey arch.

Day 4 - Secret Lagoon & Reykjavik
Take a dip in the Secret Lagoon and visit Hveragerdi geothermal village on your way back to Reykjavik. Spend the afternoon exploring the city center with our personalised recommendations.
Overnight at a spa hotel.

Day 5 - Reykjanes & Blue Lagoon
Enjoy the Kleifarvatn lake, the Krysuvik geothermal area, Reykjanesviti lighthouse and Gunnuhver hot spring before settling for the day at the Blue Lagoon hotel.
Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening indulging in the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa.

Day 6 - Departure
Take one of our offbeat detours on the way to KEF airport or spend time in Reykjavik with our personalised recommendations before dropping off your rental car in time for departure.

- Add extra days to slow down the pace or enrich your itinerary with more time for activities or de-tours; there is enough to do for 10 days
- Cut a day or two from the itinerary to allow for reduced time or budget

For self-drive, since the northern lights are only visible during late summer and winter, we highly recommend a 4X4.
For private tours, we offer a variety of comfortable vehicles for different group sizes with a local guide.

Our detailed itinerary is completely tailored to your specific interests. It will include comprehensive information on the must-see attractions and offbeat sights you will visit, a day-wise outline and directions on Google maps.
We can also include tours and activities of your choice, self-guided walks and hikes, and restaurant recommendations. Typically this requires adding extra time to the trip.
And of course, we are always available for questions or assistance during your trip.
Additional information for your Iceland trip will be sent to you along with the detailed itinerary. This will include details about driving in Iceland, weather and clothing, currencies and payments, electricity system, food and water, safety, contact info, and other useful tips.
Self-drive:
The minimum driver age for is 20 years for smaller cars and 25 years for jeeps. Drivers must bring an international driving licence or a local driving licence written in a Roman script. Winter driving experience is strongly recommended.
