Stockholm City Break

Starting from: Stockholm

Season: All year

Duration: 4+ days

Highlights: Stockholm - Gamla Stan - Djurgarden - Stockholm archipelago - Birka viking town

Spread across 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges on Lake Mälaren is the capital city of Sweden. Surrounded by forests and an idyllic archipelago; Stockholm is one of Scandinavia's prettiest cities and a brilliant mix of the old and new. Enjoy a short break in this wonderful city and get a little taste of all that it has to offer!

Each of our holidays is a personal experience and our goal is to design an itinerary that matches your dream trip.
Below is a 4 day / 3 night sample itinerary to give you a general idea of our Stockholm City Break:

Day 1 - Arrival & Gamla Stan

Arrival at Stockholm airport. Transfer to your downtown hotel.
Discover the charm of the one of most beautiful medieval town centres in Europe – the Gamla Stan. See the Royal Palace, enjoy a candy cane and check out the narrowest alley of the city. You can spend more time exploring the area on your own maybe with a nice cup of coffee.
Stockholm is big on the food scene so be sure to explore some of the interesting places recommended by us. Or we could recommend a food tour you can join in on.

Day 2 - Djurgarden & the archipelago

Spend the morning walking around the beautiful Djurgarden island and visiting some of city’s most famous museums. Take your pick - the grand VASA, the cool ABBA Museum, Skansen, Grona Lund & more...
In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely cruise with a local guide to learn more about the city and archipelago.

Today you will go back in time! Enjoy a half day guided tour discovering the Vikings – their history, their towns, their society, their burial rituals and more.

In the afternoon, you can visit nearby Uppsala. Between its museums, interesting history, architecture and the young vibe a university town gives, makes for a fun visit.
