Day 1 - Arrival in Vagar. Pick up your car from the airport. Explore the villages of Sorvagur, Bour and Gasadalur, and enjoy fantastic views over Tindholmur and Mykines.

Day 2 - A day at the Mykines bird island.

Day 3 - Drive to Gjogv through the first underwater tunnel in the Faroe Islands. We recommend a detour to Vestmanna where you can go on a 2-hour sightseeing boat tour to the birdcliffs. Also visit the viking settlement at Kvivik, Eysturoy and Eidi.

Day 4 - Visit the scenic village of Tjornavík where you can follow in the footsteps of the Vikings and walk along the beautiful beach. The village of Saksun is also worth a visit to see its church and the Duvugardur museum.

Day 5 - Drive to Oyndarfjordur where you can see the mystical Rinkusteinar (Rolling Stones) and the church where the danish painter, Eckersberg, painted the altarpiece. Continue to Klaksvik through the newest sub-sea tunnel.

Day 6 - Spend the day exploring the northern islands. Visit Vidareidi, the northernmost islands of the Faroes where you can climb Enniberg, the second highest promontory in Europe and enjoy spectacular views over Fugloy, Svínoy, Borðoy and Kunoy. Drive to Kunoy and then visit the viking settlement in Leirvik before arriving in Torshavn.

Day 7 - Enjoy a guided day tour to the island of Nolsoy where you'll go back in time. There you will find the biggest colony of stormpetrels on the islands and take a hike to the lighthouse. Visit the boat Diana Victoria used by Ove Joensen used to row 900 miles to Copenhagen.
Overnight in Torshavn.
Day 8 - Drop off your car and departure from Vagar airport.
