South Greenland is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers who can walk along waterfalls and streams, through green valleys, on ridges overlooking iceberg-filled fjords and climb towering mountain peaks!
Narsarsuaq is home to the largest forested area in Greenland and depending on your interests and level, there are a variety of hikes around the town including a beautiful hike through the valley of flowers to the Narsarsuaq glacier.
You will also walk the famous "Kings road" to Igaliku, one of the prettiest villages in Greenland where you go on a hiking adventure amidst wild and desolated mountain peaks with stunning ocean and glaciers views to see the Qooroq ice fjord.
Along the way, you will stop at the ancient Brattahlid settlement and get an insight into Greenland's history.
There are also options for mountain biking and kayaking.

Below is a 5 day / 4 night sample itinerary to give you a general idea of our South Greenland Hiking Adventure starting from Keflavik:
Day 1 - Narsarsuaq & Signal Hill
Take a 2.5 hour flight from Reykjavik to Narsarsuaq. After check-in, take a short self-guided hike to the Signal Hill viewpoint for a beautiful view over the fjord and town.
Overnight at Hotel Narsarsuaq.
Day 2 - Qassiarsuk & Igaliku
A morning boat transfer to Qassiarsuk where you can stroll around the ancient settlement, visit the open-air Viking museum and learn more about the history of Greenland.
Later in the day, transfer by boat to Itilleg where you walk the "Kings road" to Igaliku, the most beautiful village of Greenland.
Overnight at the Igaliku Country Hotel.
Day 3 - Qooroq Ice fjord
Discover the beautiful landscape around Igaliku on an easy 6-hour hike along the river, through isolated valleys and barren mountains to the lake where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Qooroq Ice Fjord.

Day 4 - Narsarsuaq Glacier hike
Take a boat transfer back to Narsarsuaq where you will spend the morning hiking along the beautiful Valley of Flowers to the Narsarsuaq Glacier. Enjoy lunch in front of the glacier before your hike back.

Day 5 - Narsarsuaq & Departure
A relaxed day in Narsarsuaq with time for optional hikes and activities before you have an evening flight back to Keflavik.
