Just north of the arctic circle and at the edge of the Greenland ice cap, Kangerlussuaq is the perfect place for a glacier adventure.
Visit the famous Russell glacier and venture further to Point 660, from where you can walk on the Greenland ice cap.

What's more - Kangerlussuaq has more than 300 days of clear skies in a year, making it one of the best places to see the northern lights from October to March.

Below is a 4 day / 3 night sample itinerary to give you a general idea of our Kangerlussuaq Glacier Adventures starting from Reykjavik:

Day 1 - Arrival & Kangerlussuaq

Take a 4-hour flight to Kangerlussuaq, located just north of the Arctic Circle.
Overnight at Hotel Kangerlussuaq for 3 nights.

Day 2 - Ice Cap

The highlight of your trip! Take a 4X4 drive through the stunning landscape of the Sandflugtsdal valley and its turquoise river to the towering ice walls of the Russell Glacier. Look our for reindeer and musk oxen along the way.
Continue to Point 660 where you can walk on the Greenland ice cap, the second biggest ice sheet in the world covering 80% of Greenland's surface.

Day 3 - Boat trip, hike & barbeque

Take a 2-hour boat trip across Kangerlussuaq, the longest fjord of Greenland before venturing on a hike up the mountain ridge for spectacular views of the fjord. Enjoy a delicious barbecue of Greenlandic specialities and if you're lucky you will even see some wildlife.

Day 4 - Kangerlussuaq & Departure

Take a 2-hour walking tour of the town to learn more about its role in world history, the culture and life here today. 
A free afternoon before your departure.

Price: From 7,854 DKK DKK per person on a double or twin sharing basis
