This breathtaking self drive holiday will take you back to Denmark’s royal past and a rich architectural history. Visit and stay at some of the finest and well preserved castles, manor houses and gardens; located in the most scenic settings.
Day 1: Copenhagen Arrival. Hotel transfer by public transport, taxi or private car. Take a 2 hour walking tour in Copenhagen to visit some of its famous highlights, such as the Copenhagen Royal Palace, the Stroget, the Little mermaid and much more. In the evening, take a 2 hour boat tour along Copenhagen canals with a romantic 3 course dinner dinner on board. Overnight at
Day 2: North Zealand Pickup your rental car and drive towards Helsingør for a guided tour of the most famous castle of Denmark, the Kronborg castle, home of Prince hamlet's tragic story. In the afternoon drive to Hillerød for a guided tour to Frederiksborg castle and its stunning gardens. Evening and overnight at Dragsholm castle .
Day 3: Funen and Odense Drive to the Funen region and island for a day in Odense, Hans Christian's Andersen home. Spend few hours in the open Air Museum of Funen village for a guided tour among its old streets and atmosphere, left as at the times of the famous writer and visit his childood home. In the afternoon drive to Egeskov Castle, half an hour from Odense for a visit to Europe's best preserved Renaissance water castle. Overnight at Bromholm Fishing Lodge

Day 3: Ribe and Aarhus Cross the Cross the waterway to Jutland peninsula and drive towards Ribe, the oldest town in Denmark and Scandinavia and the best-preserved town of the Danish Middle Ages. Take a 2 hour walking tour among with perfectly preserved timbered houses which are still inhabited and have lunch in one of the two Michelen star hotel in town. In the afternoon continue to Kilbæk for an overnight stay at Sinatur Skarrildhus castle hotel.
Day 4:Aarhus and North Zealand Drive to Aarhus and take a 2 hour city walk in Aarhus to discover more about its history and culture and after that head to Marselinborg Castle, the Danish Royal family's summer and Christmas residence. Return to Zealand on a ferry from Aarhus and spend a night in the fairy tale atmosphere of Dragsholm Castle.Take a guided tour of the castle and the surrounding countryside, designated as Denmark's first and only Geopark by UNESCO, before having dinner in its Michelin starred Slotskøkkenet restaurant
