How it all began...
Started by Halldór Pálmi Bjarkason, an Icelander from Ísafjörður; and Preeti Bhide, his Indian wife, who fell in love with Iceland at first sight, the idea came to them after their wedding in Ísafjörður in 2010. The wedding preparations involved hosting many friends from abroad and showing them around Iceland - the legend of the "Honeymoon Express" still lives! They realised that travel planning truly appealed to them, and that is how Wild Westfjords was born.

Halldór and Preeti's concept of a great Iceland holiday includes experiencing the true beauty of Icelandic nature; discovering off beaten places and things to do; getting a taste of local culture, cuisine and the quirky Icelandic people; and living the expression "while in Iceland, do as the Icelanders do".
